Neodymium channel magnets

Channel magnets consist of a U-shaped steel profile into which a neodymium block magnet is embedded. This design strengthens the holding power of the magnet enormously at direct contact with a counterpart. Additionally, the steel coating protects the fragile magnet from damages caused by repeated blows.
Thanks to the existing countersunk hole, you can securely fasten the channel magnets with countersunk screws to suitable surfaces. They can also be easily set into grooves.

Features of screw-on channel magnets

Principle: The strong neodymium magnets are embedded in a U-shaped steel profile. The steel reinforces the adhesive force of the magnet if the magnet touches a thick iron surface directly. If there is no direct contact with the counterpart or when the iron sheet is thin, painted or rough, the magnet's adhesive force is much weaker.

Please note: Neodymium magnets are brittle and can break if too much force is applied. Therefore, when screw-mounting these magnets, we recommend a maximum tightening torque of 2 Nm.

Displacement force: The indicated adhesive force was measured perpendicular to the adhesive base. In order to move the magnet sideways, much less force is necessary. Therefore, if you use a flat rod on a wall, you can put much less weight on it than when you use it on a ceiling.

Rust: These magnets are not rust-proof and therefore only designed to be used in the dry indoors.
